Yes, if clinically appropriate and with consent, the therapist will collaborate with psychiatrists, speech and occupational therapists, general practitioners and teachers just to name a few. Many people do not require this collaboration however for teens and college students with IEPs and accommodations, their treatments teams may be large and varied. How can therapy help? The outside world can be a complicated dumpster fire. The therapy room is a safe space for you to be able to vent and talk about the things that are too scary to say out loud. I am here to hold your fears, anger and joy with you, no matter how big. The goal of therapy is find healthy ways for you to be comfortable in the boundary of your own skin and move safely throughout the world with intention and insight.
